 |
Nightwood Some where deep in an isolated wood a powerful witch begins to work her magicks. Nightwood (2003) was conceived as a simple idea to bring together various digital SFX techniques I'd been experimenting with. Rather than just produce a couple of test clips, I thought I'd string them together in a (loose) narrative. The whole film was shot using the nightvision mode of my Sony PD 120 PAL and I'm very pleased with the results! As some of the shots were somewhat complex we had to do a slight re shoot. On the second night, after heavy rain, a gigantic rotten tree collapsed almost crushing the cast and crew (but not me, I was by the camera). So perhaps we did summon some uncontrollable elder force... Below you can see a stream of Nightwood. Obviously it has been compressed somewhat in order to fit online. As this means that some of the detail is slightly lost, I've also added some higher res stills.
