Gundam
These are two Gundam toys which I picked up whilst I was in Japan. I've only watched a few episodes of Gundam, and they were pretty kewl - but what I really love are mecha. Although its quite old now, Gundam is still extremely popular in Japan and when I was searching through Osaka's toy shops for good mecha toys, Gundam was pretty much where it was at. The cream coloured one is called The Big O and was the latest release at the time. I'd spent so much yen in the Yodobashi store by that point that I got it free on store credit!

Evangelion
Evangelion is an anime which I was introduced to by my good friend Spawn. On the surface Evangelion seems very similar to a lot of other Japanese anime - a show about kids piloting big mecha and fighting monsters. However, the series quickly becomes about so much more. Even without knowing that this mecha is Eva 02 as piloted by Osuka Langley, you can still see that its a damn fine mecha!
